Our safeguarding health check
An independent review of your safeguarding policies and supporting documents. You send us your policies and complete a short questionnaire. We assess what you have against national expectations for charities across ten domains, covering accountability and governance, safer recruitment, voice and much more.
You get a clear, written findings report with each domain rated green, amber or red, a suggested action plan covering must do actions, should consider recommendations and policy housekeeping, and a one page trustee scorecard ready to take straight to a board meeting.
It is not an inspection. It is a practical tool for boards and safeguarding leads who want an honest, independent view of where things stand.
All support is scoped and costed in advance. The first conversation is always free.
“It was very easy to send in all our policies to be reviewed. The review itself was very quick and thorough, easy to read and understand and came with next steps and the offer of a follow up. Highly recommend, even just for peace of mind.”

Case study: strengthening safeguarding and governance
We worked with a North East regional charity to review and strengthen their safeguarding policy, procedure and training. The charity wanted clearer structures, safer practice and more confidence across the team.
We supported them to scope what a lead safeguarding trustee role should look like, rebuilt their safeguarding policy and procedure around this, and strengthened the wider processes that sit alongside it. We supported the recruitment of the trustee and identified an organisation to deliver bespoke safeguarding training for staff and trustees.
“James brought clarity, steadiness and real expertise at a point when we needed it. The revised safeguarding approach is stronger, easier to follow and gives us confidence that we are meeting our responsibilities. The support was practical, timely and exactly what we needed.”
