Our people

Resolution Ready is a small, growing consultancy built on deep sector experience. We are relatively new, but the people around us bring decades of practice across children's services, safeguarding, governance and organisational development.

We believe the best work happens when the right people are in the room. Everyone who works with Resolution Ready brings genuine expertise, a commitment to doing things properly, and a shared belief that children's services are stronger when they listen, reflect and respond well.

James Anderson is our founder and principal consultant

James has over 20 years' experience in children's services, spanning local government, the voluntary sector and national programmes. He founded Resolution Ready to bring that experience to bear for councils, trusts and charities through investigations, consultancy and facilitation.

He specialises in statutory complaints under the Children Act 1989, working as an independent investigating officer and panel chair with over 75 Stage 2 investigations completed. Alongside that work, he delivers safeguarding and governance consultancy, service reviews and facilitation, including LEGO Serious Play® workshops through the Thinking Differently brand.

James is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute (CMgr FCMI), a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, and a peer reviewer for Child Abuse Review (Wiley).  In summer 2026, James will be presenting at the ISPCAN International Congress on Child Abuse and Neglect in Australia. His paper, 'When things go wrong: how learning from family experience builds safer, more humane systems', was selected through competitive peer review.

Work with us

Resolution Ready operates on an associate model. As we grow, we are building a network of experienced professionals we can call on to deliver the right expertise for the right work.

We are particularly keen to hear from people who deliver training in children's services or safeguarding, and those with expertise in charity governance. If you share our values and want to work with a consultancy that takes quality seriously, please get in touch at office@resolutionready.org.uk.
